About Me

Transportation Safety for Pets

Hi, my name is Julie, and here by my side is my faithful companion Frieda, my therapy dog. I love to travel and have spent a lot of time travelling, but unfortunately, a few years ago, my anxiety increased in a way that made it hard to travel. As a result, I got a therapy dog. Frieda has been a literal lifesaver for me, but I have had to learn how to travel with her. In particular, I have had to learn how to help her have a safe experience on different modes of transportation. This blog is devoted to that concept. Whether you are travelling with a working companion or a pet in a pet carrier, this blog has tips on making that experience safe.

Wedding Bus Hire: A Timeline

by Noelle Frazier

Wedding bus hire is an inexpensive and convenient way to transport guests to and from your wedding party. Read this excerpt to learn how to plan a wedding bus hire.

One Month To The Wedding

You have probably set a wedding day at this time. Besides, you already know how many guests you will invite. Evaluate your guest list to know which of your guests will require transport services. You may opt to divide your guests into groups. For instance, the bridal party should travel on a different bus from the rest of the guests. You could have a separate coach for people that live away from town.

Identify a reputable wedding bus hire company in your locality. Review the companies' terms and conditions. For example, are you allowed to decorate the bus? Are alcoholic drinks and pets allowed on the bus? Other than the standard charge, check additional charges such as cleaning and lateness fee. Narrow down on a company that provides quality services at a reasonable price.

Three Weeks To The Wedding

By this point, most of your guests will have confirmed whether or not they will attend the wedding. As such, you will know the exact number of people that require transport services. Contact the wedding bus hire company and inquire about the availability of the buses. If they are available, visit the company's premises to inspect the buses. The coach should be clean and in excellent mechanical condition. Pay your deposit and negotiate the hire price. Most companies will give a discount for an early booking or if you need more than one bus.

One Week To The Wedding

Visit the bus hire company and meet with the drivers and management. Create a transport plan detailing the routes to use, the time and location to pick the wedding guests. You could choose to cancel your booking or add a bus if there have been changes in the wedding plans. Contact your guests and inform them of the pickup time. Additionally, ask one of your friends to act as the transport manager. They will coordinate transport on the wedding day.

Two Days To The Wedding

Ask your transport manager to contact guests and remind them of the pick-up time and any transport changes. Besides, they should let guests know what activities are restricted on the coach.

On the wedding day, your transport manager should ensure guests board the wedding bus on time. Besides, they should make sure the buses are cleaned and returned to the bus hire company on time.
